The whole purpose for this blog is so that I, with my own blogger.com blog, can become familiar with the site's feature set. Then I can provide technical assistance to a certain blogging friend who actually has something to say.

While reviewing this post, one thing I noticed is that the timestamp is in Pacific Time. Since I am located in the Central Time Zone, I would prefer that it default to Central Time, and, failing that, in Greenwich Mean Time. The time zone should at least be displayed.
I tried changing the timestamp after the fact (from 2:37pm to 4:37pm), but this did not work.
Previewing this comment, I can see that it wants to put 2:55pm as the timestamp instead of 16:55 CST. Argh.
Never mind about the problem changing the timestamp on the postings. My web browser was buffering. When I forced a refresh from the server, the updated time showed up. But I still don't know if there is a way to change the time zone setting on comments.
OK, just now when I logged on, I was given an option to configure my blog. This included date and time settings. Now everything shows up in my local time zone. Happiness is. Almost. It would be nice if I could get the time zone (CST/CDT) to show up in the timestamp.
